“Taupou Tatau” was birthed in September 2009. The name is a combination of names inspired by two very special individuals. Tuigamala Andy and Sapphires’ children. This perfectly articulates everything in what this studio stands for. Yes, it is a business but more so, it is a family of people. Who genuinely care about each other and want nothing more than to see you succeed as well as help you on your journey to wherever that may be.
This is a space that holds so much pride in the roots of everything they do. For many people coming through they get so much more than just a Pasifika/Maori tattoo, they are gifted with knowledge of what each design means and the significance behind it. Some people even come in not for a haircut or tattoo appointment, but to just simply say hello and to see how everyone in the shop is going. It is a must-see, pit stop for any person in or coming through Wellington, that will always welcome you with open arms and a barrel of laughs.
